Alvis produced cars in Coventry. England from 1919 to 1967. They also produced racing cars, aircraft engines, armoured cars and other armoured vehicles. The company was sold to Rover in 1967 but no further Alvis cars were built.
The TE21 cars were built in small numbers by the coachbuilder Park Ward between 1963 and 1966. Only 352 cars were built and approx 1/3 were the drophead coupé. Due to the small numbers they are very sought after today. They were sold as direct competitors to other luxury convertible makers such as Mercedes and Bentley. The TE21 was replaced by the TF21 which had only minor modifications and just 106 were built.
Alvis TE21 could achieve a top speed of approx 170kph.
This particular car has been subject to a full "nut-and-bolt" restoration in The Netherlands in recent years
